UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2013 Notification UPSC CSP 04/2013

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi issued Examination Notie No 04/2013 CSP date 5th March 2013.  Candidates should Note that their are certain changes in the scheme of Civil Services (MAIN) Examination which have been elucidated/ changed in the scheme of Examinations. There are some changes also in regard to the choice of lanuage medium in the Civil Services (Main) Examinationa.

UPSC Civil Services Exam New Patter 2013
Qualification: Gruadate from recognized university.
Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2013, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1992. The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxed as per norms.
Application Fee: Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from pay- ment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only) either by re- mitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner& Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card 
How to Apply: candidates are required to apply Online by using the website http:// www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above- mentioned website. Brief Instructions for filling up the "Online Application Form" given in Appendix-II. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e- Admission Certificate will be made available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post.

UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam New Pattern: Union Public Service Commission notified The Civil Services Examination 2013 advertisement. UPSC has changed the Examination pattern for Civil Services Prelims (CSP) Examination from 2013. However mains examination of both the services will be conducted separately. In Civil Services mains Examination 2013 instead of two optional papers, now student will opt only one optional paper. Weight-age of General Study has been increased.

Madhya Pradesh(MP) Civil Services Exam 2012-13:  Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), Indore (MP) notification has been released. As per the advertisement given on the commission website the preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on 24 February 2013:

State Administrative Service Examination-2012 (PCS)

Age : Minimum 21 years amd maximum 30 years 01/01/2013. Relaxation is age as per rules.
Qualification : Graduate from a recognised university.

Scheme of Examination: The preliminary examination of MPPSC consists of two papers. In the first paper questions on general studies will be asked while second paper will be of general aptitude test.
Center of Examination: For MP state Service PT examination 50 centers have been made across the state that includes Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior.
Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.

Application Fee : Application Fee Rs.180/- (Rs. 90/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH of MP)  + Rs. 35/- as portal fee will be only be accepted by Credit Card, Internet Banking or by cash at authorised kiosks of MPPSC at various place. No payment will be done through Bank DD or Postal Order.

MPPSC brings Aptitude Test in exam

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has decided to discontinue the examination of elective subjects. Deciding to follow the pattern of the UPSC, the state public service commission will replace the elective paper with an aptitude test in the next exam. Concerned officials have roped in experts from different subjects to prepare the pattern of the aptitude test.
The MPPSC’s elective examinations have been hit hard by numerous controversies in the recent past. Questions were being raised over the scaling system of the examination. The matter had also reached the court following which forced the commission to opt for the aptitude test. Experts believe that the new format will not have any adverse affect on the preparation of aspirants. The new pattern will infact be liked by competitors if they have the capability. Aptitude test will help pick able contenders automatically, said Prof. Jayantilal Bhandari.
Questions from all subjects: The MPPSC is planning to include questions from all subjects in future exams. Both prelims and mains exam question paper will have questions from different subjects.
Online application: The MPPSC will soon be introducing online application system for all examinations that it conducts. Applicants will not have to submit marksheet, caste certificate and other important documents at the time of filing the form through the comission’s website.
