Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission.

Scheme of examination: The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in two successive stages- (i) Preliminary Examination, and (ii) Main Examination

Paper Pattern: : The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper on the subject specified below, which will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks. RAS Exam New Pattern, Syllabus: Rajasthan Govt. approve the new pattern for RAS (Rajasthan Administrative Services) and Allied service Examination from 2013 onwards as per Circular issued by Department of Personnel(DoP), Government of Rajasthan. RAS New pattern will have special emphasis on Rajasthan Culture and Literature. Rajasthan Govt. approve the changes in RAS Examination rules 1999 to attract more brains from market in services. This rules will be applicable from RAS Exam 2013. As per new pattern now RAS Pre Exam will have a single common paper of 200 Marks based on General Knowledge and General Science with 3 Hour duration. RAS Mains exam will have Four Paper each Paper with 200 Marks. RAS Mains will have four paper each with 200 Marks. Three paper will be based on General Knowledge including rajasthan history, Geography, economics, Current affairs, Rajasthan, Language and other GK Quiz. Fourth Paper will be based on Language i.e. Hindi, English, Rajasthani.

RAS PRE NEW PATTERN:  RAS PRE will have SINGLE OBJECTIVE Type Paper of 200 Marks instead of two papers in old pattern. Now all candidates will have single paper, No need to go for subjective paper. RAS Pre paper will be based on India GK, Rajasthan GK, World GK and General Science.

राजस्थान प्रशासनिक सेवा (आरएएस) की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में अब 200 अंकों का एक ही वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्न पत्र होगा। पहले दो पेपर होते थे। यह निर्णय 2013 से आयोजित होने वाली परीक्षा से लागू होगा। राज्य मंत्रिमंडल ने बुधवार को राजस्थान राज्य और अधीनस्थ सेवाएं (संयुक्त प्रतियोगी परीक्षा द्वारा सीधी भर्ती), नियम 1999 में संशोधन पर सहमति दे दी है। प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में भारत और राजस्थान का सामान्य ज्ञान, सामान्य विज्ञान और मानसिक योग्यता से संबंधित प्रश्न होंगे। पहले इसमें एक सामान्य ज्ञान और एक ऑप्शनल सब्जेक्ट का पेपर होता था। इस परीक्षा के अंक चयन के लिए कुल अंकों में नहीं जोड़े जाएंगे। इसके साथ ही कुल रिक्तियों के 15 गुना तक अभ्यर्थियों को मुख्य परीक्षा में बैठने का अवसर भी मिलेगा।

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer as per Recruitment Advertisement No. 02/2013-14 dated 18.06.2013 has issued Notification for Rajasthan State Subordinate Services (RAS) Combined Competitive Examination 2013 on 18th June 2013 on official website of RPSC Ajmer i.e. http://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/. RPSC Ajmer invites ONLINE Applications for RAS/RTS Examination 2013 based on New Pattern of RAS Examination 2013. 
Rajasthan State Subordinate Services (RAS) Combined Competitive Examination 2013
Total Post = 723 Post ( State Services = 233 Post, Adhinast Services = 490 Post)
Qualification: Degree for recognized university. Final year students can also apply.

Age: 21-35 years as on 1.1.2014, 25-45 for Govt. Employees, Relaxation as per Norms by Govt. of Rajasthan.
Scheme of Examination: The combined competitive examination will be held in two successive states:
1. Preliminary Examination, and
2. Main Examination

RPSC Ajmer uploaded the Official Notification and syllabus for New Pattern of RAS Examination 2013. RAS New pattern will have special emphasis on Rajasthan Culture and Literature. Rajasthan Govt. approve the changes in RAS Examination rules 1999 to attract more brains from market in services. This rules will be applicable from RAS Exam 2013. As per new pattern now RAS Pre Exam will have a single common paper of 200 Marks based on General Knowledge and General Science with 3 Hour duration. RAS Mains exam will have Four Paper each Paper with 200 Marks. RAS Mains will have four paper each with 200 Marks. Three paper will be based on General Knowledge including rajasthan history, Geography, economics, Current affairs, Rajasthan, Language and other GK Quiz. Fourth Paper will be based on Language i.e. Hindi, English, Rajasthani.

Qualification: Gruadate from recognized university.
Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2013, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1992. The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxed as per norms.
Application Fee: Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from pay- ment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only) either by re- mitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner& Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card 
How to Apply: candidates are required to apply Online by using the website http:// www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above- mentioned website. Brief Instructions for filling up the "Online Application Form" given in Appendix-II. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e- Admission Certificate will be made available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post.

UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam New Pattern: Union Public Service Commission notified The Civil Services Examination 2013 advertisement. UPSC has changed the Examination pattern for Civil Services Prelims (CSP) Examination from 2013. However mains examination of both the services will be conducted separately. In Civil Services mains Examination 2013 instead of two optional papers, now student will opt only one optional paper. Weight-age of General Study has been increased.
