राजस्थान पर्यटन को मिला बेस्ट मार्केटिंग इनिशिएटिव-डोमेस्टिक टूरिज्म अवार्ड

घरेलू पर्यटको के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्केटिंग पहल करने में अग्रणी रहने के लिए राजस्थान पर्यटन विभाग को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर एक और अवार्ड प्राप्त हुआ है। नई दिल्ली के होटल ऑबेरॉय में  शुक्रवार रात को देश के एक प्रतिष्टित समूह द्वारा आयोजित समारोह में राजस्थान पर्यटन विभाग की नई दिल्ली में अतिरिक्त निदेशक डॉ. गुंजीत कौर ने समूह के रीजनल ग्रुप चीफ ऑपरेटिंग ऑफिसर विनय मल्होत्रा से टाइम ट्रेवल अवार्ड पुरस्कार सम्मान ग्रहण किया। पुरस्कार में राजस्थान को घरेलू पर्यटको के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्केटिंग पहल करने में अग्रणी रहने की श्रेणी में प्रतिष्टित समूह द्वारा स्मृति चिन्ह प्रदान किया गया।
पुरस्कार ग्रहण करने के बाद पर्यटक स्वागत केन्द्र, नई दिल्ली की अतिरिक्त निदेशक डॉ. गुंजीत कौर ने बताया कि प्रदेश की मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमती वसुन्धरा राजे के दूरदर्शी सोच के अनुरूप पर्यटक विभाग द्वारा अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव डॉ. सुबोध अग्रवाल व पर्यटक निदेशक श्री प्रदीप बोरड़ के नेतृत्व में राजस्थान में देशी विदेशी पर्यटकों को आधारभूत सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाने के हरसंभव प्रयास किये जा रहे है। फलस्वरूप प्रदेश अंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्यटन मानचित्र पर अपना अहम स्थान कायम रखे हुए है।

Padma Awards 2014 Winners List

Padma Awards 2014 Winners List: Padma Awards 2014 is announced today, 25th January 2014. Padma Awards, the country’s highest civilian awards, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.  The awards are given in all disciplines/ fields of activities, viz. art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc.  ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field.  The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year. The awards are conferred by the President of India at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan sometime around March/ April.  This year the President has approved 127 awards including 10 in the category of Foreigners/ NRIs/ PIOs. These comprise 2 Padma Vibhushan, 24 Padma Bhushan and 101 Padma Shri awards.  There are 27 ladies among the awardees.

Padma Vibhushan Awards 2014 Winners

Padma Vibhushan Awards 2014 Winners List: Padma Awards 2014 is announced today, 25th January 2014. Padma Awards, the country’s highest civilian awards, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.  The awards are given in all disciplines/ fields of activities, viz. art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc.  ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field.  The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year. The awards are conferred by the President of India at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan sometime around March/ April.  This year the President has approved 127 awards including 10 in the category of Foreigners/ NRIs/ PIOs. These comprise 2 Padma Vibhushan, 24 Padma Bhushan and 101 Padma Shri awards.  There are 27 ladies among the awardees.

Rajasthan Ratna Award 2013

Rajasthan Ratna Award 2013: Government awarded 7 persons for Rajasthan Ratna Award 2013 today Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. Rajasthan Ratna is the Rajasthan's highest civilian award, for performance of highest order in any field of human endeavor. Founder of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti Dr D R Mehta (social service), Jasdev Singh (commentary), Pandit Ramnarayan (Sarangi player), late Nagendra Singh (law), late Kailash Sankhla (environment protection), late Hasrat Jaipuri (Art and Culture) and late Gavri Devi (Maand singer) have been selected for the award. Rajasthan Ratna awardees are given Rs 1 lakh as cash, a shawl and a citation by the stategovernor,chief minister and minister of art and culture.This award is on the lines of the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna that is conferred by the central govt of India .
Rajasthan Ratna Award 2013 Winners:
1. Dr D R Mehta (social service): Dr. D R Mehta, founder and chief patron of the organization that popularized the Jaipur Foot gets Rajasthan Ratna Awards 2013. D.R. Mehta (born June 25, 1937) is a former chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India. He is a founder and chief patron of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), the world's largest organization for the handicapped in terms of free fitment of artificial limbs/calipers etc.
2. Jasdev Singh (commentary): Jasdev Singh is an Indian sports commentator. He was awarded Padma Shri in 1985 and Padma Bhushan in 2008. He has also been official commentator on Independence Day, and Republic Day parade broadcasts since 1963 for state run media, Doordarshan and also All India Radio.
3. Pandit Ramnarayan (Sarangi player): Pandit Ram Narayan, is an Indian musician who popularised the bowed instrument sarangi as a solo concert instrument in Hindustani classical music and became the first internationally successful sarangi player. Narayan was born in Udaipur and learned to play the sarangi at an early age.
4. Nagendra Singh (law): He served on the United Nations International Law Commission from 1967 to 1972. He was appointed representative in UNO assembly in 1966, 1969, 1975. He was also elected secretary in international bar association, and served as Chief Election Commissioner of India. He was a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan from the Government of India in 1973.
5. Kailash Sankhla (environment protection): Kailash Sankhala (1925–1994) was a renowned naturalist and conservationist of India. He was the director of Delhi Zoological Park and Chief Wildlife Warden of Rajasthan. Born on 30 January 1925 he is best known for his work in preserving tigers.
6. Hasrat Jaipuri (Art and Culture): Hasrat Jaipuri (April 15, 1922 – September 17, 1999) was a Hindi and Urdu poet and film lyricist in Hindi films. Jaipuri was born in Jaipur, where he studied English till medium level, and then acquired his taalim in Urdu and Persian from his paternal grandfather, Fida Husain.
7. Gavri Devi (Maand singer): Gavri Devi (14th April1920-29th June1988) was one of the most successful, disserving singer of mand style of singing from Rajasthan. When India organised the Indian Festival in Moscow (Russia) she gave her special performance their.

Sports Awards in India are presented by the Government of India to athletes and sports persons for their accomplishments and outstanding performances in the various fields of sports mostly annually. Rajiv Gandhi National Sadhbhavna Award 2013 to Amjad Ali Khan

Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan will be honoured with the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadhbhavna Award for his contribution towards promotion of communal harmony and peace.  The award carries a citation and a cash award of Rs five lakh. It will be conferred on Khan on 20th August, the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi.
"The advisory committee of the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavna Award decided that the 21st Rajiv Gandhi National Sadhbhavna Award be given to famous Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan for his outstanding contribution towards promotion of communal harmony, peace and goodwill," an AICC release said in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Jnanpith Award 2012 Winner - Dr Ravuri Bharadwaja

Jnanpith Award 2012: Telugu writer Dr Ravuri Bharadwaja was selected for the prestigious Jnanpith award for the year 2012, he was earlier awarded Sahitya Akademi Award. The 86-year-old writer, who has to his credit more than 37 volumes of short stories and 17 novels among other works, was chosen for the award by a selection board chaired by noted poet Sitakant Mahapatra, a statement of Jnanpith Award committee said in New Delhi on Wednesday. The books of Bharadwaja, who had education till Class VIII only, had been prescibed as text books in universities and even been the basis of many research works. "Bharadwaja passed through all sorts of vicissitudes of life but continued his service to Telugu literature with perseverance. He is a poet, a playwright, a novelist of distinction and a popular science writer," the statement said.
About Ravuri Bharadhwaja: Ravuri Bharadvāja was born on 1927. He has written 37 collections of short stories, seventeen novels, four play-lets, and five radio plays. He has also contributed profusely to children's literature. Paakudu Raallu, a graphic account of life behind the screen in film industry, is considered his magnum opus. Jeevana Samaram is another of his popular works. He is educated till Class 7 only. However his books are used as course works in B.A, M.A and there have even been several Phd degrees awarded for research on his works. He got honorary doctorates from Andhra, Nagarjuna and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities for his literary prowess.
